Alright, It’s Week 2—Let’s Keep It Real
Let’s slow down for a sec. Week 2, can you believe it? Whether you glided through Week 1 or stumbled a little (most of us do, honestly), you’re here—and that matters. I hope you’ve noticed small things: maybe ankles moving with less creak, that little “ahh” when you finally get settled in your chair, or the calm that sneaks in after just a few breaths. Week 1 was all about waking up those sleepy parts—wiggling, circling, sighing, sometimes laughing at how stiff we feel. Don’t worry, everyone’s version of progress is different. That’s the beauty.
So, what’s next? Strength. But not the heavy, grunting, tough kind—think gentle, sometimes subtle strength. Quiet confidence. This week, we’ll work deeper into posture, endurance, and that kind of inner fortitude you can’t really see in the mirror, but you feel it in your bones. Think of every breath as steadying you, every exhale as softening any old doubts. Oh, and if a day feels too much? Skip, modify, or just show up and breathe with us. You get to make these days yours.
Day 9: Warrior Yoga Flow
Warrior, huh? Don’t worry, you don’t need armor—just your chair and a little bit of gumption. This flow isn’t about looking fierce or being loud. Actually, you might even look a little silly in your living room. That’s perfect, actually.
As you anchor your feet and reach out (seriously, reach like you’re stretching towards the best cup of coffee you’ve ever had), you might feel a warmth in your thighs and belly. Maybe your hands tremble—or maybe you sigh and melt your shoulders. If you’re wobbly, that’s your body learning. Check in with your jaw. Too tight? Loosen it up. And if your breath gets shallow, just pause and notice. You’re building a kind of strength no one gets to measure but you.

Day 10: Fix Poor Posture
Ah, posture… the thing everyone says we should fix but, let’s be real, it’s hard when you’ve spent years at desks or curled over your phone or, well, just living life. Today, let’s not think of this as “fixing” but more like reminding your body how tall you really are. Try not to judge where you start from.
Notice, as you straighten up, the way your chest opens—a soft breeze kind of feeling. Your back might complain at first (totally normal), or your shoulders might want to creep up by your ears. Invite them down. Picture that old “string pulling your crown up” cliché. Clichés stick for a reason, right? Breathe into the space behind your heart, even as the muscles quiver a bit. Sometimes good posture just feels like dignity, even on the tough days.

Day 11: Cardiovascular Flow
Heart work—always a little intimidating, right? This isn’t a race. No one’s got a stopwatch on you. Just move in your chair, follow my lead, get curious about how your breath and pulse pick up. This is about letting yourself feel alive, not exhausted. Kind of like that buzz you get after laughing too hard or walking in crisp morning air.
A few minutes in, you’ll probably feel a little sparkle under your skin—maybe the skin goes a bit pink, maybe your breath huffs or you feel an easy little sweat. Stay playful: can you let your breath have some rhythm? If you get tired, just slow down and join again when you’re ready. Sometimes the best thing is letting yourself rest and join as you wish.

Day 12: Hips & Glutes
Let’s talk hips and glutes. I think (no, I know) these muscles get grumpy from all the sitting we do. This session is your chance to breathe into places you rarely do—down deep in your seat and hips. At first, things might feel stuck or creaky, almost like your jeans after a long winter packed away. That’s all right.
Move slow. Try circling, squeezing those glutes with more intention than you’d ever admit, and let out a big exhale as you stretch (sometimes a groan, too, and that’s fine). You may notice tingles down the sides or a kind of sleepy, glowing fatigue. Each rep wakes up the forgotten parts and maybe even makes your next walk to the mailbox smoother.

Day 13: Psoas Stretch
Okay, the psoas. Sounds fancy but, truthfully, it’s just this deep muscle most of us never think about. Some folks call it the ‘muscle of your soul’. (No pressure.)
Sit easy, breathe slow, and when you start to lean or stretch from your low belly, go even slower. This isn’t about force. Most likely you’ll feel a stretch deep at the front of your hip, maybe up into your lower back. It can be emotional; old stuff sometimes bubbles up. Stay with that. Use your breath like a gentle wave to release tension—imagine it washing over old tightness, carrying it out with the exhale.

Day 14: Side Body Stretch
Here’s an underrated joy—stretching your side body (seriously, when was the last time you tried?). Lift and reach, and let yourself notice the tiny spaces between your ribs opening. Sometimes it feels like the first breath of spring air after a long winter. Other times, it just feels awkward and new—normal!
You might catch yourself with a little smile when the stretch hits just right, or you may grumble at the tightness. Breathe there anyway. Visualize sunlight drifting from hip up to fingertips. Give a gentle sway, and remember: space matters, both outside and inside.

Day 15: Lower & Upper Abs
Let’s take on the core today, but probably not the way you’ve seen in those glossy magazines—no plank contests or crunch marathons. Instead, this is about connecting to your belly and ribcage, gently and with kindness.
Some movements will make your center warm, almost tingly. You might feel yourself instinctively suck in your gut—try, instead, a gentle, steady draw-in, like you’re tightening a soft belt. Keep breathing! It gets tempting to hold your breath. Instead, send your inhale right down to meet your center and notice the way you steady, even if just a bit, each round.

Day 16: Core Strength
If yesterday felt tricky, don’t worry. We all have days where strength feels out of reach. But today is about weaving the little skills from the week into a kind of moving meditation. Not about building abs of steel—just building a little more trust in yourself, one wobbly movement at a time.
You may catch yourself sitting taller, maybe even daring a twist you’d never try last month. The feeling at the end often isn’t fireworks, but more a sense of, “Hey, I did that,” soft pride, quiet progress. Anchor your awareness at your center, let your movements flow from there, and notice the way stability quietly spreads into the rest of your body (and day).

The Benefits—Like Ripples in a Pond
Building endurance and strength with a chair as your base changes things. Not always in big, dramatic ways. Sometimes you just notice, on a random Thursday, carrying in the groceries isn’t such a pain. Maybe it’s a tiny pinch less dread climbing the stairs—or just a feeling that your breath goes a bit deeper, especially after a giggle or a good stretch.
Strength, as I see it, is quiet. It looks like better posture in photos, but it feels like breathing easier, like your back’s holding you up rather than dragging you down. Your heart works a little smoother. Joints? They creak, sure, but you learn to love the symphony. This chair practice offers balance—not just on the outside, but that deep, settled feeling inside. Like the soft steadiness you find sipping tea, watching rain, knowing you’ve moved your body with care.
Closing Thoughts—It’s All You
Here’s that final deep breath. Close your eyes if you want. The week’s work is done. You’re not behind or ahead. There’s no gold star to chase, just a little more you-in-your-own-body softness. Romantic, maybe, but true.
If this week felt clumsy, that’s all part of it. If you felt strong, cool—bottle that feeling for days when you can’t find it. The effort matters, not perfection. We’ll roll into Week 3 together—flexibility and balance calling. If you ever need a pick-me-up, start from any day, repeat anything you liked, or just sit, breathe, and know you’re part of something quietly wonderful.
Thanks for being here. Really.
